Art is the colors and textures of your imagination

Intermediate Acrylic Paint Workshops

Step into the world of acrylic painting with this introductory course that covers the essential techniques and principles of art. You’ll explore the versatile medium of acrylics and learn how to create stunning artworks.

Our instructor uses an individualized approach to teaching, which stresses demonstrating and practicing the techniques needed to achieve your desired result.

Youth will learn basic acrylic painting techniques and apply these techniques to complete each project. The workshop is designed to give artists ages 10 through 16 the skills they need to begin their artistic journey into self-expression, reflection, and creative thinking.

Our Acrylic Paint Workshops will be held on Thursdays from 1 to 4 pm in our Creative Studio. Each session will have a new subject to paint and space will be limited to allow for more hands on instruction.

Summer Sessions-  June 27, July 11, July 25, August 1, August 8

Pre-registration is required to attend, all supplies and snacks are included in the cost of the workshop registration.

Shannon from Soul Expressions

Artist Shannon Auld has lived in Alaska for seven years and has been painting professionally since 2010. Her individual style uses beautifully vivid colors and creative shapes and lines to reveal striking impressions of real-life objects. Her work will touch your soul, hence her business name, “Soul Expressions!” Shannon is a wife, mother, and artist with two young children. She enjoys time outside, painting, and spending time with family. She graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from the

University of Wyoming and taught for a few years before beginning a family. When she can take time aside from taking care of her children, you will find her in front of her paint-splattered easel working on a new piece.
